Why Are Americans Obese?

Americans are constantly fighting a battle of the "bulge" to help control their weight. But why are Americans among the most obese populations in the world?
Most of us do not cook the majority of our meals any longer. We are now a growing fast-food, processed-food culture. These fast food are loaded with so much sugar and fat that it is impossible to maintain a healthy weight. Then there is our lack of exercise that play a key role in the battle of the bulge.
20 to 30 minutes of exercise daily is essential to proper weight management. Finally, stress has been shown to be another underlying factor in obesity. While lifestyle changes such as better diet, more exercise and stress reduction have been shown to help lose weight, there are supplements that have been shown to be helpful in encouraging weight loss as well.
High-nutrient, low-sugar and low-carbs option like salads, fruits, fibers, and protein smoothies can be just the thing you need to help minimize calories but still provide the necessary nutrients to stay healthy, and not hungry. Supercharging your smoothie with vitamins, along with whole food ingredients will help supply the body with the energy to work, and make healthful lifestyle changes.
What are you going to do to begin your healthy lifestyle change?

Even with the best lifestyle, or eating habits, your immune system can still be challenged beyond its capacity. Nutritional supplements that support and boost your immune system are recommended, especially during the cold and flu season, or at times of high stress.

DIY: The Perfect Nutritional Smoothie

We've all heard the saying, eat an apple a day to keep the doctor away. However, most people can't find the time or patience to sit there and eat an apple.

Hence why smoothies, juicing, and throwing fruits in water is at an all time high. Fitness has taken over, and not many people want to be fat, or even feel like they are tipping over the average size for their age and height. Well, welcome to the new age of body wraps, waist cinchers, fat burning pills, and all that good stuff. Oh and of course the countless gym gurus and #Gymlife selfies add to the motivation to take better care of ourselves.

For those of us who want to start off with the basics, or are just lost on how to get the best out of a great tasting smoothie (or juicing), then follow these steps for a nutritional boost in your immune system --- and day!

1. CHOOSE YOUR GREENS - This will give your smoothie a solid nutritional boost and keep you going throughout the day.

Benefits of Lemon Water

When I first discovered that people were throwing all kinds of fruits into their water, I thought we had all lost our marbles. Then I decided to do some research and I quickly joined the bandwagon. I now love adding lemons to my water to give it added benefits and flavor. You can also use oranges, cucumbers, strawberries, and other fruits to really give your water and immune system a boost. Be sure to rinse the fruits well before adding them to your water. Check out the benefits of drinking Lemon Water below.

10 Steps To Real Beauty

There are tons of lotions and potions to make us look great on the outside, but we must not forget the true steps to real beauty. No matter how much powder you puff on, if you're not taking care of yourself internally then that extra concealer won't do a thing.

1. SLEEP - We all need a good amount of beauty sleep. Lack of sleep can cause dehydration, puffy
eyes, and health issues. Always try to get at least 7-8 good hours of sleep a night.

2. SUNSCREEN - This goes for ALL races, ALL ages, and ALL year round. Sunscreen prevents up to 90% of skin damage caused by the sun (UV rays). You don't want to look 50, when you are only 31.

3. NO DRUGS - This is pretty much self explanatory, but for those that do not know the obvious. Drugs are very damaging to your health and the effects of it doesn't show up right away. It has been scientifically proven that smoking and drinking wreaks havoc on your teeth, skin, cells, liver, and lungs. Being a social drinker (sipping on a cocktail at a bar with friends three times a month) isn't horrible, but smoking will age you four times faster than the normal drug-free person. Enjoy your vices, but don't over do it.

Vitamins A, B, or C??? Most people don't know a thing about vitamins.

If you do know a thing or two, most still don't know how vitamins can affect their body. When it comes to your health, there are key roles that each of them play. I made a simple list of each vitamin, what they do for our bodies, and what foods you can eat to get these natural nutrients. You can knock out your daily intake of these vitamins by creating tasty smoothies.

Today! Today! Marks the day!

After ducking and dodging this beauty monkey that has been on my back for years, I have finally decided to take on this new journey. For many years I have been fascinated with hair care, skincare, beauty tips, fitness, and overall appearance. Many people ask me for tips, for help, and for advice on products, what to wear, what to use, and etc. So today marks the day that I decide to take it to the next level. I have started many blogs in the past, many ventures, and many ideas... but strangely this "beauty thing" continues to haunt me. Is it because I am meant to do something in the beauty industry? Or will this just remain a hobby? I will not know until I try.
